Nephrologist, Professor of Therapeutics
Current functions
MD, PhD, is a nephrologist, Professor of Therapeutics and expert in hypertension and is Medical Director of the Centre d’Investigation Clinique Inserm (CIC) in Nancy.
Areas of research
He has participated and participates in numerous international research programmes including the EU FP6-7 programmes (INGENIOUS HYPERCARE : coordinator A.Zanchetti ; MEDIA : coordinator W.Paulus ; HOMAGE & FIBROTARGETS: coordinator Pr Faiez Zannad. He is the coordinator of the 1st international randomized double-blind clinical study (spironolactone versus placebo) in hemodialysis, ALCHEMIST, funded by an academic research program funded by the Ministry of Health. He is also involved in scientific boards and numerous other clinical studies.
Scholarly Societies
Since 2014, he has coordinated the French network of excellence INI-CRCT “Investigation” Network Initiative – Cardiovascular and Renal Clinical Trialists (www.inicrct.org), certified and funded by F-CRIN (French Clinical Research Infrastructure Network, ECRIN/ERIC’s French affiliation). It also coordinates the FIGHT-HF (2016-2020) University Hospital Research Program supported and funded by Les Investissements d’Avenir and the Agence Nationale de la Recherche.
