International mobility grant 2023 - €35,000 for 1 year (1st year)

  • Theme and nature of the project: research internships in a foreign laboratory or department, recognized for its research field and training qualities, supported by emerging or existing teams. The research projects supported will be carried out by candidates working in French cardiovascular medicine or surgery departments, and holding a Master 2 in research: interns enrolled in the DES in cardiovascular medicine or the DES in vascular medicine or the DES in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery or the DES in vascular surgery or the DES in pediatrics with enrolment in cross-disciplinary specialized training in pediatric and congenital cardiology, CCAs, assistants, former CCAs, former assistants, PHs, PHUs or MCU-PHs.

Master 2 research scholarships

  • Theme and nature of project: The research projects supported will be carried out by candidates working in French cardiovascular medicine or cardiovascular surgery departments: interns enrolled in the DES in Cardiovascular Medicine or the DES in Vascular Medicine or the DES in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery or the DES in Vascular Surgery or the DES in Pediatrics with enrolment in cross-disciplinary specialized training in pediatric and congenital cardiology CCAs, assistants, former CCAs, former assistants in post or having been in post less than 2 years ago.

Fellowships available from the French Society of Cardiology

 

  • Theme and nature of the project: The final objective of the subsidized project must be to improve the knowledge, management, prognosis and quality of life of heart failure patients in France, and to highlight French research (on these two themes). This grant is called "Valorisation des études du GICC", as it is mainly intended to finance a research project based on the exploitation of GICC studies and/or registries. This grant is open to paramedics.
  • Endowment: The €30,000 endowment will be paid out in a single instalment during the Journées Francophones de l'Insuffisance Cardiaque, des Cardiomyopathies, de l'Assistance et de la Transplantation cardiaque (JFIC-CAT), primarily to facilitate vision of the candidate's projected budget.
  • Application deadline: June


"Research and Mobility Grant" - €35,000

  • Theme and nature of project: A study stay of at least one year abroad in a reputed department in the field of cardiac rhythmology/pacing.
  • Prize: The prize of 35,000 euros will be paid in full at the Journée du Groupe de Rythmologie et Stimulation Cardiaque at the ISCAT congress.
  • Application deadline : September

 


  • Theme and nature of project: The final objective of the subsidized project must be to improve knowledge, management, prognosis and/or quality of life of heart failure patients in France, and to highlight French research (in these two areas). This grant is known as a "National or International Mobility" grant, as it is intended to support a full-time research project, rather within an accredited research structure (for France).
  • Endowment: The €30,000 endowment will be paid out in a single instalment during the Journées Francophones de l'Insuffisance Cardiaque, des Cardiomyopathies, de l'Assistance et de la Transplantation cardiaque (JFIC-CAT), primarily to facilitate vision of the candidate's projected budget.

Alain Castaigne" research grant - €30,000

  • Theme and type of project: To support innovative clinical, fundamental or translational research in the cardiovascular, cardio-renal and cardio-metabolic fields, with a view to understanding pathophysiological mechanisms as well as diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
  • Endowment: Half of the €30,000 endowment will be paid out during the SFC European Days, and the other half upon receipt of notification of submission of the article within 12 months.
  • Application deadline: November


Heart Failure Research Grant: Improving knowledge and/or management of heart failure patients" - €20,000

  • Theme and nature of the project: The research project must be clinical, epidemiological or fundamental, with a clinical focus, aimed at improving knowledge and/or management of heart failure patients. The duration of the research will be a maximum of two years.
  • Endowment: Half of the €20,000 will be paid out during the SFC European Days, and the other half 12 months later, based on the progress of the work.

Aorta and Peripheral Vessels" research grant - €15,000

  • Theme and type of project: To promote basic, clinical or cross-disciplinary research into arterial or venous vascular pathology in the cardiovascular field.
  • Grant: 65% of the €15,000 grant will be paid out during the Journées Européennes de la Société Française de Cardiologie, and the remaining 35% six months later, on the basis of a progress report validated by the jury that awarded the grant.
  • Application deadline: October


Salem Kacet" research grant for remote cardiology monitoring - €10,000

  • Theme and nature of project: The aim is to support innovative clinical research in the field of telemonitoring of patients with heart disease.
  • Endowment: Half of the €10,000 endowment will be paid out during the SFC European Days, and the other half upon receipt of notification of submission of the article within 12 months.
  • Application deadline: October


Imaging and the Heart" research grant - €20,000

  • Theme and nature of project: The Cardiovascular Imaging Subsidiary (FIC) of the Société Française de Cardiologie (SFC) is awarding a grant to a research project on the theme of cardiovascular imaging. The research project must be clinical or translational (fundamental and clinical) in the field of cardiovascular imaging.
  • Endowment: Half of the €20,000 endowment will be paid on presentation of the award at the Paris-Echo conference, and the other half 12 months later on the basis of the progress report validated by the awarding jury.
