Purpose of the research

You were treated for acute dyspnea between January 2010 and January 2020 in one of the investigating centers participating in this study

Your personal data concerning your care and your health will be reused as part of the North-East PArADIsE clinical research project, which aims to evaluate the factors associated with changes in the health status of patients treated for acute dyspnea.

Legal basis

Your personal data is collected and processed solely on the legal basis provided by the regulations in the context of the performance of the CHRU de Nancy's public interest missions, in particular those relating to ensuring and contributing to research and innovation.

Nature of the data collected

For the purposes of this research, your strictly necessary personal data from your medical and administrative file, such as your demographic data (Gender, Weight, Height, Age), data relating to the management of your acute dyspnea, health data (biological results, diagnoses, treatments, medical X-rays, co-morbidities, hospitalizations, etc.) will be reused in the context of this research.

Data on vital status within 5 years of hospital discharge will be retrieved via the French National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). To do this, your establishment will use your personal data (full name, first names, gender, date of birth, commune, département and country of birth). This data will be used solely for this purpose.

All your data will be processed in coded form (serial number, first letter of surname and first name) to guarantee confidentiality (i.e. without mentioning your surname and first name).

Information on the processing of your personal data

In the context of this research, your personal data will be collected in a database to enable the results of the research to be analysed in the light of its purpose, under conditions that guarantee their confidentiality.

Data recipients

We may need to give you access to your personal data:

  • natural or legal persons acting on behalf of CHRU de Nancy, whose participation is necessary for the collection, quality control, processing and analysis of data in the context of this research,
  • the scientific managers involved in this research,
  • subcontractors performing services on behalf of CHRU de Nancy,
  • legally authorized personnel of health authorities and public control authorities, in the context of a specific mission or the exercise of a right of communication;

These people are bound by professional secrecy.

Data retention :

Your personal data will be stored in the information systems of the data controller, the investigating center or the professional involved in the research for up to 10 years. They will then be archived on paper or electronically for a period of 15 years.
