Nephrologist, Professor of Therapeutics
Current functions
MD, PhD, is a nephrologist, Professor of Therapeutics and expert in hypertension, and is a consulting physician at the Inserm Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) in Nancy.
Research areas
He has participated and is participating in many international research programmes including the EU FP6-7 programmes (INGENIOUS HYPERCARE: coordinator A.Zanchetti; MEDIA: coordinator W.Paulus; HOMAGE & FIBROTARGETS: coordinator Pr Faiez Zannad. He is the coordinator of the first international randomized double-blind clinical trial (spironolactone versus placebo) in hemodialysis, ALCHEMIST, funded by an academic research program financed by the French Ministry of Health. It is also part of scientific boards and many other clinical studies.
Learned societies
Since 2014, he has been coordinating the French INI-CRCT "Investigation" Network Initiative - Cardiovascular and Renal Clinical Trialists (www.inicrct.org), certified and funded by F-CRIN (French Clinical Research Infrastructure Network, the French affiliation of ECRIN/ERIC). He also coordinates the University Hospital Research Programme FIGHT-HF (2016-2020) supported and funded by Les Investissements d'Avenir and the French National Research Agency.
